Originally planned for July, we rolled the date to try and make life easier for some folk and i'd like to say a massive thanks to Exec Steve for being so malleable about the night and DJ Class A for stepping into the breach for us at short notice.

DJ Class A

The first thing you should know about DJ Class A is he has been spinning vinyls for a while now...since 1993 in fact. It has long been considered a suitable course of action to respond to this fact by expecting him to provide one hell of set, which he does. This allows a certain sense of all-is-right-with-the-world-ness to then flow outward from whichever venue he is playing in and out into the streets...crime rates drop, people drive safer and everyone smiles as they give to charity.

Okay, so the last bit might be hokum but the whole thing about the savage sets isn't. Currently to be found every Wednesday live from 10.30pm-12.00midnight on Dublin’s Raidio Na Life 106.4FM. He has literally supported a whose who of the scene including, Noisia (Vision, Subtitles), Jumpin Jack Frost (Movement), Apex (Lifted etc), Drumsound (Technique rec's), Futurebound (Viper, Metro), Marcus Intalex (Soul R), Calibre (Signature), DJ Flight (1xtra, Play:music), Sappo (1xtra, Advisory Rec's), Muffler (Urban Takeover, Levitated, Sighco Rec's), Zero Tolerance (V Rec's, Bassbin), Beta 2 (Metalheadz, Bassbin), Rohan (Bassbin), [genetix] (Basic Rec's, Secure Rec's) and MC Tonn Piper (Daywalkers, Metropolis) to name a few. He's also played gigs all over Ireland for pretty much every crew worth a mention and he spent the later part of the 90's churning out sets in a plethora of clubs on the Manchester scene. In recent years he has also been booked to play at clubs in the UK & London (The Jamm, Brixton), Spain (Al Final & El Divino) and Canada (Intense NYE, Quebec 2007/08).

With his promotional duties with the “Resonance” night currently on hold in favour of putting his vast experience and massive dirth of knowledge about music into production

You know he's gonna give it a proper rinsing on the night.

Executive Steve

A man who's origins are shrouded in misty myth we only know a few facts about the man called Executive Steve. Inventor of the game Monopoly he once humbled Issac Singer ( one the leading minds behind the advent of the showing machine ) in a game of Kunckles that is said to have gone on for 3 full waxing's of the moon. Emerging from the competition the victor he merely asked for a cool pint to sooth his hot hands. It's also said at a full sprint the echoing of his footsteps forms the perfect Amen break(gentle reverb included if he's in a soft soled shoe ).
A cornerstone of the local scene he's been systimatically laying waste to venue's in recent months, leaving the kind of happy expressions on faces that are normally associated with highgrade gifts from Mother Nature rapped in low cost rips from Father Rizla.

Executive Steve has the voice of an angel, the snake-hipped charm of a ballroom dancer, the soft and uncalloused hands of a kept man and the cold hard stare of a contract killer. Known to take the occasional sip of sherry, he enjoys long walks by the beach, quiet nights in, and all of the finer things in life. He is wanted by police in more countries than he can name, has a weakness for the kindness and the company of women, is a fearless ace pilot, a revolutionary, a noted wit, raconteur and citizen of the world. Women want him, men want to BE him. Catch him every Wednesday at 21.00 shouting mystical incantations in mellifluous Gaelic across the Greater Dublin Area on Raidio Na Life 106.4 FM and playing the freshest cuts this side of a Sushi kitchen. Executive Steve likes his basslines low, his strings sampled and his beats broken.

Ganjdalf

DJ Ganjdalf of the Stomp Crew has a serious medical condition. Misinterpreting 80HZ as the effects of gravity he can often be found hugging up on bass bins the way drunken teenagers normally hug up on lamp poles. Having recently delivered a set on the Welfare Clinic on Radio na Life that thumped and throbbed along with a dark and sultry low end rattle it's about time the wall's, floor'ss and ceiling's structural intergrity in the Mezz room of the Twisted Pepper was subjected the kind of racket this dude can put together and call a set. Still prattling on about that pint he drank with Lemmy you can expect the dubbiest subs, the scariest snares and a somewhat manical look in the eyes of the man behind the decks.

A strong look! Always a pleasure to read stuff about me that's even more hyperbolic than the stuff I write about myself!

In one of those late breaking changes that can happen to a line up, we are delighted to announce that Exec Steve will now be going back2back, track for track with Bonz!!!

This is sure to be a fantastic set, don't miss it! Grin

Yeah apologies again mate, having played a gig in there only a week or two ago it never struck me as odd, and i can't pass on things the venue don't tell me. Embarassed If i had known, i'd have brought down my own studio monitors for the night.

Massive thanks for the set man, it was wicked despite the monitor issues, and a big thanks to Exec Steve and Bonz for playing a cracking set under the conditions.
